What is a connection?
A connection links Drawbridge to another platform, allowing data to move automatically between systems.
Connections can be used to send communications, synchronize customer data, trigger workflows, and extend the capabilities of your campaigns.

- Mailchimp / Mandrill
- Twilio
- Shopify

Why would I connect another platform to Drawbridge?
Connections allow you to perform unique activities like sell products on Drawbridge pages, and continually nurture leads through custom messages or promo codes, all within your Drawbridge organization, so you can track activity, sales and lead engagement.
Common use cases include:
- Selling products with Shopify
- Sending emails via Mailchimp, Mandrill, or SendGrid
- Sending SMS messages via Twilio
- Passing data to external systems using webhooks
- Automating marketing and customer engagement workflows
How do I create a connection?
Under Automations, navigate to the Connections section within Drawbridge and select the platform you would like to connect. You'll be guided through the authentication and configuration process required for that integration.
Can I have multiple connections?
Yes. You can connect multiple supported services to your Drawbridge organization.
What are webhooks?
Webhooks allow Drawbridge to send data to external systems in real time.
Webhooks can include a secure digital signature that lets the receiving system verify the request really came from us and hasn't been tampered with.
Do connections consume actions?
Connecting a service does not consume actions.
However, activities performed through a connection may consume actions.
Examples include:
- Sending an email via a connected provider
- Sending an SMS message
- Syncing contact data
- Triggering a workflow that uses a connected service
Refer to the Actions FAQ for additional details.
What happens if a connection becomes disconnected?
If a connected service is disconnected or loses authorization, any workflows or automations that depend on that connection may stop functioning as expected.
We recommend reviewing your connections regularly to ensure they remain active and properly configured.
Will my connection settings be saved?
Yes. Connection settings remain associated with your Drawbridge orgganization unless they are manually removed or reconfigured.
Can I remove a connection?
Yes. Connections can be disconnected at any time from the Connections section of the platform.
Before removing a connection, be sure to review any campaigns, workflows, or automations that rely on that service to avoid interruptions.
