Actions

What is an ‘action’ as it is mentioned in the pricing plans?

An action is any tracked activity or event that occurs within Drawbridge.

Examples of one action include, but are not limited to:

  • When a lead submits a form
  • Sending an email or SMS message within a campaign
  • A workflow performs an automated task (such as sending an email or updating a contact)
  • A segment update
  • Contact creation and updates
  • Integration events and data transfers
  • Other automated campaign activities

Actions are used to measure platform usage and are included as part of every Drawbridge subscription plan. Actions restart at zero every month.

You can upgrade your subscription to obtain more actions per month if needed. Or you will be charged a nominal fee for every action over your limit until the new month begins and your action count restarts at zero, see our pricing page for overage details.

Overages are only available on the paid subscription plans. If you reach your action limit of 200 actions on the free tier plan, your active campaigns will automatically pause (form submissions will be unavailable, for example) until you upgrade to a paid plan.

When is an action counted?

Actions are counted when they are triggered or executed.

Examples include:

  • An email is sent to a contact
  • An SMS message is delivered
  • A form is submitted
  • A workflow sends a message, updates a contact, or adds a contact to a segment
  • Contact data is synced with an integrated application

How can I see my action usage?

You can view your current usage from the Billing section of the Drawbridge platform.

The Usage screen displays:

  • Actions used during the current billing period
  • Remaining included actions
  • Plan limits
  • Overage information, where applicable

What happens if I reach my action limit?

The behavior depends on your subscription plan:

Paid Plans

If you exceed the included actions in your plan in a given month, overage charges will apply based on your subscription tier. Refer to your plan details on our pricing page for current overage pricing.

Free Plan

The Free plan does not support overages.

Once the included action limit has been reached, you will need to upgrade your subscription to access additional actions. Once your action limit is reached in a given month, your live campaigns will be paused and won’t be able to accept form submissions.

Action limits restart at zero at the beginning of each month (when your monthly subscription is billed).

Do workflows and automations count as actions?

Yes. When a workflow or automation executes on an activity - such as sending a message, updating a contact, or moving a lead into a segment - it will consume an action.

Can I reduce my action usage?

You can reduce action usage by reviewing and pausing active automations, limiting unnecessary communications, and optimizing workflows to perform only the actions required to achieve your campaign goals.
